Will my filing for chapter 13 bankruptcy stop my child support arrears for the next 60 months?

San Diego Bankruptcy Attorney It will allow you to pay off your child support arrears in the plan, usually at the expense of your unsecured creditors. It will not stop or defer post-peitition arrears from continuing to accrue.

No. Your support arrears will need to be paid through the Chapter 13 Plan.
