Years on my credit?
How long will the bankruptcy show on my credit report and is there any legal way to get it off after so many years?

Re: Years on my credit?
If it was a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act permits creditors to consider the fact of your bankruptcy for up to 10 years; if a Chapter 13 case, up to seven years. If the credit reporting agencies still contain the information after that time, then you should write them and demand the item be deleted.
