Legal Question in Business Law in California

Is there a 72 hour rule to not accept a car lease?

A car leasing company indicated they needed further signatures before they could complete the car lease. Within 24 hrs we told them we did not want the car and now they say "sorry, we already have the car and you must take possession." Do we have to accept the car and the lease?

Did they tell you that your lease had been accepted after you told them to cancel the deal? There seems to be a trend forming with car dealerships pushing through financing after the customer has requested the deal cancelled. If you wanted to cancel the deal because you were told the financing would not go through than you have that right. If they are refusing to cancel the deal then you may need to hire a lawyer to write them a letter threatening a lawsuit or just file a lawsuit. If you would like more information regarding your rights as a consumer please feel free to contact my office at 877-546-9918. The call and consultation are free. I look forward to speaking with you.
