$16K Cell Phone Bill

Bought phone calling card online.Used company cell phone to dial international call. Followed phone calling card instruction in detail including dialing a local# to connect to calling card#.Three months later company say I owe 8K,. Phone bills totaled to $16K employer agreed to absorbs half of the bill which is $8K. Awaiting copies of bills. Need to my legal choice, do I hire hire a lawyer and go after employer's phone company--which I think failed to connect to calling card. Calling card disconnect line if balance on account is used up. Had money left on the calling, when notified about the shocking charges. Please help. Thanks.PML

Unfortunately the defense is going to be that you misdialed, and how are you going to be able to convince people otherwise? You could search the internet for people who may have had similar experiences with the carrier.
