1) How long is a SMALL CLAIMS judgment good for?
2) Does a small claims judgment show up on a person's credit even if the judgment is not recorded with the County Recorder's Office?

1. Without double checking, I'm very sure they are the same as any judgment: valid for 10 years and renewable every 10 years until paid.
2. Yes. Recording has nothing to do with credit reporting. That is only to attach the judgment to any real property the judgment debtor has or acquires.
