Non-resident aliens cannot, however, be stockholders in an "S" corporation (one that elects to be treated as a partnership for tax purposes, thus avoiding double taxation of income). For that reason, limited liability companies are favored when a non-resident alien will be a co-owner.

I might also point out that although LLCs do have two advantages - nonresident aliens can be owners, and they (LLCs) can elect to be taxed (favorably) as partnerships, having nonresident aliens as owners probably will result in some extra accounting and reporting requirements, so it would be wise for your LLC to have a good accountant who can research (or already knows about) the special tax-reporting requirements where there is overseas ownership.
