Legal Question in Business Law in California

A, age 15, has to make it on her own. Her parents died in a car accident and she has no one. To protect herself from the winter winds, A buys a coat on credit for $200. 00 from Ripoff Clothing Store. The coats reasonable value is $ 80. Before making the payment on the coat, A tells the store that she wants to disaffirm she wants her money back in exchange for the coat. Can A disaffirm the contract? If she cant, what must she pay?

I know that A can disaffirm the contract because she is a minor, but i'm not too sure about the second part of the question.

A is going to starve if she tries to make it as a lawyer by trying to cheat at school.

You shouldn't post homework questions, and you are already wrong in your assumptions. You are trying to answer the question by assuming that it has a correct answer, like a math problem. It doesn't.

If you understood the rules of law better, you would see issues. Look at your first assumption. You say that A can disaffirm the contract because she is a minor, but that is not a correct statement of the rule. The correct rule is that a minor can disaffirm a contract, unless the contract is for necessaries. See how you miss a major issue here, by incorrectly only setting forth the first part of the rule, but not the exception? You need to address whether the coat is a necessity.
