Legal Question in Business Law in California
My appeal is under submission
I am an Appelant having made oral arguments at the Los Angeles Superior Court Appelate Div.
The court took my argument under submission in late Feb, which I understand is rare for this court (they usually decide within 2 weeks). I am in Pro-per, and got the court to strike a recent attempt by my big credit card company opponent to intruduce new evidence after oral arguments.
Can anyone with experience in dealing with appeals tell me, what do you think my chances are ?

Sounds like your chances are as good as any other citizen of prevailing, and in your case maybe better.

There is no way to assess your chances without knowing more about the case.
I don't know why you think a 2-week turnaround is typical. The judges are allowed to take up to three months (or longer under some circumstances), and they often do so.
Re: My appeal is under submission
Congratulations on handling your own appeal, but in credit card cases your attorney fees will be paid if you win, so for those of you reading this on LawGuru there's no reason not to retain an attorney!! How would anybody know what your chances are based on the limited information you provided.
I did recently win a case in the Appellate Department against a credit card issuer. They do NOT usually decide within 2 weeks. They have to write an opinion. In my most recent case it took 11 months between the filing of the Notice of Appeal and the issuance of the Remittitur. Patience.
