Legal Question in Business Law in California
Attorney billing
Propriety of billing. If I have 2 separate clients and I have to attend a court hearing where they are both at the same courthouse at the same day/time am I required to split travel charge or can I charge each of them the total travel, i.e., double dipping.
Any Rule that you know applies to this?
Thanks folks.

Re: Attorney billing
The purpose of billing expenses is to obtain reimbursement, not to make a profit.

Re: Attorney billing
Split the cost and time between the clients and explain in the billing why it's lower than it normally would be. Integrity is the key word here.
