Legal Question in Business Law in California
Back in April 2006, I signed as a guarantor for my business partner in a loan with Wells Fargo Bank. I quit his company in mid 2007, at this time account was in default and they put judgement against me. I contacted my ex-business partner and told him to take care of it, he has been talking to the collection agency. My question is that, can the collection agency still order garnishment of wages on me, even though my ex-partner is already agreeing to start making payment.

As long as there is a judgment against you, they can collect from you and anyone else they can get their hands on, until it is paid in full.
