Legal Question in Business Law in California
I am a barber at a shop where there are three barbers. one of the barbers owns the shop where he rents the shop and we sublet our chairs from him. we pay 450 each a month the rent on the shop is 932 dollars a month the owner has not paid the rent since Dec 2009 and may be getting evicted. if so i will loose my chair I pay my rent on time every month there is no excuse why the rent should not be paid How can we sue him?

It depends. Did you sign a contract at the time you agreed to rent the chair? If so, what does it say? If not, you'd have a hard time proving that you were entitled to any long-term right to the chair, beyond the months for which you've paid.
Bottom line, it's impossible to offer you meaningful advice without knowing the details of the arrangement between the shop and the barbers. Hopefully, there's a written agreement that addresses the situation.
Either way, the only way to know for sure is to consult a lawyer who can review the documents, investigate all of the facts, and research the law before giving you an opinion on your options, and the viability of a suit.
BUT, if the guy's broke, suing him is just going to leave you with an uncollectable judgment, You might be better of just making new arrangements, and notifying your regular customers where you'll be next month.
