Legal Question in Business Law in California
on the bottom of the summons that was served i checked multiple boxes regarding the person being served.
i checked "individual", "as the person sued under a fictitious business name" and "other".
will this come back to haunt me?
i do want to sue them as an individual and a business is this possible or will i be in jeoperday because i selected more than one box.....d

It could create trouble. The defendant may need to know how they were served, as the entity or indvidually. You should probably name the entity and the indvidual seperately, and serve them seperately.

You can't use one summons to serve two different defendants. If you are a party to the action, you also cannot serve the documents yourself.
