Legal Question in Business Law in California

A brand new but defective auto

My parents have purchased a brand new auto approximately 5 weeks ago. Within these five weeks, the car has been sent to service for three times and all due to the same reason. As a consumer, what kind of rights do I have? Can I demand for an exchange or refund of the defective auto?

Yes you can under the CA lemmon law but you may need an attorney to do it. the law does allow you to also recover attorney fees.

The California "Lemon Law" protects consumers who have purchased new vehicles and are having problems with it. You can search the Internet for specific information regarding the requirements and procedures to file in order to recover from the dealer.
