Legal Question in Business Law in California
Breach of Confidentiality?
One of my relatives works for the Police Department in town. My relative is telling another relative detailed information about arrests records of our other relative. The information is confidential information, not yet found on a public system at the courthouse. I filed a complaint with the City, where my relative is employed, and my relative was given a complaint form regarding my complaint, from the Police Department. My relative is a secretary to the Captain. Is there any legal recourse for slander with the Police Department? Or breach of confidential information being released?
