Breach of Contract?
I am a new book publisher. I had a verbal contract with a book printer - while the books were being readied and I was out of town for a family emergency the author contacted the printer--the result is that the books were printed with a logo in addition to my own, that is NOT mine and this was done WITHOUT my approval, nor was written approval/permission obtained. Now the printer wants more money from me - can I sue him?

Printer Problems
The answer would depend on the specifics of your contracts with the printer and with the author. It seems a more immediate concern should be whether the printer will sue you for the money he claims you owe him. You may also be able to sue if you can show that having the additional logo on the book has harmed you.
