breach of contract

I have been representing myself in the civil lawsuit and recently went to trial and an attorney agreed to represent me on contegency basis, what can i expect if i lose or win?

If you win, you'll pay the attorney a fee, and if you lose, you'll owe a lesser fee, or none at all. There are no fixed terms; it's whatever you can negotiate, subject to a general fairness requirement and percentage limits in certain cases. Lawyers must provide their deal terms to the client in writing. In addition, the lawyer and the formerly self-represented client must sign, file and serve a substitution-of-attorney form in order for the court to recognize the new representation
