business equipment lease contract

due to the current economic status, i am unable to pay for a business equipment lease which is about $700 per month. is there anyway i can turn or get a lower monthly payment in or turn in the equipment to the financing company?

I'd say there are three main ways to deal with this, other than, of course, just abiding by the contract:

1. Negotiate a better, more affordable deal;

2. Breach the agreement and endure the lawsuit and judgment that will probably ensue; or

3. File bankruptcy.
