Legal Question in Business Law in California
Business Ethics
My friend is employed in a mangement position and makes most of the computer equipment purchasing desicions, on behalf of his employer. He is also an active partner in a different company that sells computer equipment. He has purchased many pieces of computer equipment on behalf of his employer through his own company / side business. He has never told his employer that he has a business on the side and has never told his employer that he was puchasing computer equipment from his own side business. He has never overcharged his employer or hurt his employer in any way, within these puchases.
Is this a legal practice? If not, which laws has he broken, and should he seek legal help?

Re: Business Ethics
Has your friend been accused of any wrong doing?
I would need more information from your friend
about exactly what he has been doing, if someone
has threatened him with termination or anything of
that sort. I would be happy to give him a free
consultation to discuss possible legal problems he
may have or may already have. I can be contacted at
805-546-9909 or you can have him email me at [email protected]
with his phone number and I would be happy to give
him a call at his convenience.
Sincerely,
John Hayes, Esq.

Re: Business Ethics
Unless there is some fraud or cheating of the employer involved i doubt that any law is broken.
