Legal Question in Business Law in California
Using a business idea online
I am writing my school paper by making a business plan. Part of the idea and content is from exisiting websites of other companies. Does it violate any law or consititute miscounts academically?

Generally, there is a broad exception to Copyright laws for what is termed fair use. Within this exception, is material taken for educational purposes. Since this is for a school paper, you are probably OK, but just to be safe, I would include a cite as to where you got it somewhere in the report, like in the end with a table of references or similar.
