New business ideas

How do we protect our new ideas that have not yet been fully developed?

Ken Koury's reply is certainly the first line of protection: keep the idea secret. Keep track of what you

reveal to anyone (even with the nondisclosure) so that you can prove they had access to the idea, and when.

You should also consult with an intellectual property attorney early, so that you can patent, trademark, servicemark, or otherwise

protect your idea as soon as possible. Some ideas are simply not capable of further protection than maintaining their secrecy so that only

you can capitalize on the idea.
