I want to open a barber salon and the owner that I work for is letting me use the name of the salon that I am presently working at.

It is fine to use the name. However, you need a License Agreement with a mutual indemnity clause saying that you will cover the owner whose name you are using for any claim against him as a result of your acts. It also needs to cover you against any claim from the owner against you for wrongful use of the name, etc. We can draft a formal Agreement with other pertinent provisions for a $750.00 flat fee. Also, if you don't already have an LLC or corporation, you should probably set up one to provide yourself with liability protection.
