Can I register my new business name as DBA and in 3 weeks change the business registration to LLC?

A DBA is filed with the County Clerk of the county of your principal business office. An LLC is filed with the California Secretary of State's Office. If your DBA is the same as your LLC name, then you need not and should not file the DBA, as the LLC name will be uniquely yours within California, absent trademark infringement, which is another story.
