Legal Question in Business Law in California

I have a CA suspended corporation that I am trying to revive, but do not have the means to pay the back taxes owed. 1) Can I still do business as the suspended corporation to obtain the monies to do this? 2) Can I start a new company to do business under to gain the neccessary monies to do so?

1) Yes, but be careful, as you cannot sue or defend yourself, if sued.

2) Yes, but not necessary due to the above, and due to the fact that each corporation is a seperate legal entity, which should be kept seperate for liability reasons.
