Cancellation of Deposit for Furniture Project
We are a furniture company that is supplying a customer 60 used cubicles. The customer wanted to install on a weekend, but our firm needs additional part to actually build and complete the job. We asked the client if we would have one more week. The client says if we do not do it this weekend they want to cancel the job and reverse the VISA charge. Is that something they can do. We do not have a lot of control of our supplier and time-line so it does happen that short delays can happen. Again, we only need a week more time

That depends upon what your contract says. If it specified a due date -- and especially if it also said time is of the essence -- the customer may be entitled to cancel. You should consult with a lawyer to determine your options.
