Re: Used car
The finance company should have the title to the car since they own it. What do you mean the DMV has no record of the vin #? They should have the entire record history listed under the vin #. You might have purchased a stolen car with a fake vin #. If so you need to contact the police and have them run the vin# through their computers to see if the car has been reported stolen. You should also have the DMV run the license plates through to see if anything comes up. If everything was legal the dealership should have processed all the documents for you and the DMV would send you the new registration 8-10 weeks later. You probably paid a processing fee as well as the registration when you bought the car and it was all figured into the financing. If the dealership has still failed to process the paperwork you should be able to cancel the deal and get your money back. If you need help in this area please feel free to call me at 888-563-8529.
