Legal Question in Business Law in California
"Church Constitution & Bylaws"
Our church has recently amended their constitution and bylaws. When doing so, who are we required (by California state law) to file this with? Thank you,

Re: Church Constitution
In addition to being a lawyer, I am the corporate secretary at my church. We recently made some changes, and you do not need to file the amended bylaws or constitution with anyone. However, you should make sure the church has a "Statement by Domestic Nonprofit Corporation" (if the church is incorporated) on file with the California Secretary of State. In 1998 when we filed, the fee was $10, and the form was available from the Secretary of State.
