Legal Question in Business Law in California

Are coin sliding machines legal in the Los Angeles Area? If the machine adds additional prizes such as gum, toys and rolls of quarters with bills wrapped around them in addition to the quarters inserted is it legal? My reference is California Penal Code (330.4 and 330.5). Are they legal if placed in laundromats, liquor stores or 99 cent stores?

I have no idea what a "coin sliding machine" is.

If you are discussing a game of chance, it is illegal no matter what the payoff is and no matter where in California the machine sits.

If it is a game of skill, it might be legal anywhere that is zoned for such games of skill.

You should re-ask your question giving a full and clear description of what this machine does and whether the pay-off is dependent upon skill or chance.
