Legal Question in Business Law in California

compensation from a start-up after quiting

I joined a group of people to start a company doing business on the internet. I designed logo, corporate identities for the company. As well as putting a lot of time developing and designing product for it. I have used all my spare time working for this company. The company hasn't paid me a single cent for whatever I have done for it.

After several months, we broke off on the ownership discussion (I know it's wrong that I didn't discuss this before hand). I want to know what kind of compensation I am entitled, and what kind of suit (if we still couldn't reach an agreement) I can bring.

I dont know what you might get without knowing in detail what your discussions were. If i were you I would try suing for the "reasonable value" of your services arguing that it would be unfair for them to accept the benefits without paying anything.
