Legal Question in Business Law in California
I'm looking for a contingency attorney to put a stop to a persons career of suing (and settling) as a source of income. (orange county, CA.)
As a contractor (computer tech support) i provided support for a small bus for over 7 years without incident. Suffering reduced income due to the economy, he began downsizing - layoffs, reduced support hrs and eventually, relocated to a smaller less expensive office. During which time i fell behind on billing.
Post completion of the relocation, and upon request for payment, He took advantage of my falling behind on billing, and refused to pay several months of unpaid invoices in the amount of approximately $3500.00 without stating a cause, and terminated further support.
I took him to small claims for non payment.
In response, he now alleges that i misrepresented expertise, failed to provide services and abandoned the job during the office relocation, and subsequently filed his own claim in an amount that exceeds $26500.00.
I have documentation showing that he knew these claims were false when he filed his claim.
Can anyone help me bring this person to justice? put a stop to his abuse of the legal system?

Sorry to hear that you're locking horns with a jerk. The best way to handle this is to defend, win, and then (perhaps) sue him for malicious prosecution. Until you have prevailed on the merits, his case against you will carry a presumption of validity.
