Make sure you get a signed contract in force before anything is done. The contract should plainly state that the work to be done is "work for hire" (use those exact words) and that all intellectual property rights pass to you, the employer. Each contractor should sign a similar contract. If they are experienced, this will not come as any surprise to any of them.
