copy right laws
Is it illegal or a copy right infringement to read an entire magazine in a store(in California) without purchasing it first or with out purchasing the magazine at all?

Reading a magazine you haven't paid for is not a copright violation since it does not involve copying. It may, however, violate the terms of your permission to enter the store; if it does, then you will be a trespasser. You will also become a trespasser if the store realizes what you are doing and tells you to stop and/or to leave but you refuse.
