Legal Question in Business Law in California

cracked up truck

We recently bought a truck from Goodguyautosales in san diego. On our way home the transmission went out. we contacted them and they agreed upon having the truck repaired, saying they would pay part. anyways after we had the truck fixed, not even a week or so after my fiance was checking out underneath it and found that the frame was cracked in the front end. Now they wont even take our calls so we can try to resolve this matter. what can I do now?

Re: cracked up truck

If you bought the truck used, you are probably out of luck. Used auto sales are "as is," unless otherwise agreed. It's always wise and worth it to take a vehicle to a reputable mechanic before buying it. Sorry you're having such grief!

You should run a "Carfax" report to check to see if the vehicle was in an accident. If so, the dealer had a duty to disclose this to you. You may be able to rescind the contract and collect damages.
