Legal Question in Business Law in California
Dealer lied, want money back on used car
I bought a used car from a restoration place. I asked specific questions to which the dealer lied, I found out later. He said the brakes were ok, the engine was ok, the gas tank was o.k. The ad in the newspaper said it was dependable. I drove it about 50 miles in all and took it to a mechanic to have it checked out. It can't be driven anymore until I get a whole new brake system. It is very unsafe. It needs a new gas tank, engine, front and rear suspension, everything.

How much was your car? If under $5,000 consider small claims court. Based on the information presented, you may have a claim for breach of contract, breach of warannty for a particular purpose and maybe fraud..
