Legal Question in Business Law in California
Debt Collection
A contracting company has owed me $6,000 for the last 3 years. Am I allowed to collect on this by taking it out of his bank account, and putting leins on his property and such,if I have the documents to prove the money is owed, or do I need to go to court first?

Re: Debt Collection
You need to go to court first. You also need to hurry; depending upon the nature of this debt, your time to file suit may have already run out.
