denied finacing

I was laid off while finacing of my car was still going threw. it's been almost 3 months since it started. they have already sold my trade in and since they can't get finacing have denied approval . I have already made 3 payments to the car dealership, So inturn I have asked for a car in return of the same value as my trade in , I have heard that they can not legally sale my trade in untill finacing of the loan goes threw.

What they have done is unethical and illegal. However, in order for you to receive any type of remedy you would need to sue them. I would tell them that if they reimburse your payments and provide you with a car that is of equal value to your trade in you will not file a lawsuit against them. I had a similar situation happen to me last year, but they did not sell my trade in so I was able to cancel the deal and get my car back.
