Legal Question in Business Law in California
does the disciplinary action record on an abc license also transfer with the transfer of an abc license from one corporation to another having the same owners?

Some attorneys would probably know for sure, but in case you don't happen to get an answer from one of those, let me make a guess and offer a suggestion. My guess is that the new corporate owner's ABC file will include that information, as the ABC policy tends to focus on management and control as much as corporate identity. My suggestion is to call the ABC and ask. There will be someone in your regional office who knows.
In addition the other attorney answer, it may be that the license cannot transfer until the disciplinary action on record is resolved. Contact the ABC and consult with a business attorney in your area for specific advice.
