Legal Question in Business Law in California

I own a driving school and we have minors sign policy's (not a contract) stating our rules for example we need a 48 hour notice of cancellation to avoid a cancellation fee. I recently had a parent tell me that none of this is valid because a minor signed it. Is she right?

If your "policy" stattement is not a contract, you can't enforce it because it is not a contract. You couldn't enforce it against an adult. Courts don't enforce policies. Only contracts can be enforced in court. No contract, no basis for lawsuit.

I agree with the attorneys above. As a general rule contracts with minors are not enforceable unless they are contract for necessities (food, shelter, etc.).
