Using Eco-Friendly term

I'm launching an eco-friendly clothing

company and wanted to know if their

are any restrictions upon using the

term 'eco-friendly' on my website for

advertising purposes?

Use of the term "eco-friendly" appears to be clear of the regulatory requirements the term "organic" requires. That being said, keep in mind that you will need to support what exactly is "eco-friendly" about your clothes should someone wish to challenge your assertion under California's unfair & deceptive business practices act. In other words, if your going to say you are eco-friendly, make sure you actually are. Something else to consider, "eco-friendly" may already be subject to trademark protections by other clothing companies.
