Legal Question in Business Law in California
employee recruitment
Dear Sir/Madam, I own a salon and recently terminated an independant contractor who rented a hair station from me. She is now opening her own salon and is trying to recruit my current contractors as well as my receptionist. Is this legal?''

Re: employee recruitment
Did you have an employment agreement with her that spoke to this? If not, then most likely what she is doing is completely allowed. If you do have such a contract, then it depends on a number of factors including what the contract says, why and how you terminated her, etc. If this is the case, you might want to ask the attorney who drafted the agreement.
