My employer told me the shop was closing for 2 weeks during the holidays. It turns out only me and one other employee were told that. Everybody else worked regular schedule. Is this discrimination?

Yes it is discrimination, but it is not clear that it is illegal discrimination. You seem to think that all discrimination is illegal, which it is not.

I agree.........it is discrimination and also lying. However, neither is necessarily anything for which the law provides a remedy. Discrimination is only unlawful if it is based upon race, sex, religion, ethnicity, etc. (a very limited list).
