Legal Question in Business Law in California

employment

i am presently using an security service to post a guard in our parking lot. I would like to have the same person on a regular basis, but the guard company can't gurantee me this. i would like to hire a particular person thru a temp agency. the position would be called parking attendant. i don't necessarily need someone with a california guard card. can I do this?

Re: employment

I don't see any reason why you couldn't hire someone to act as a parking attendant. The person must not impersonate or behave like a peace officer nor carry a firearm, and should be background-checked, trained and supervised. I assume you already have employees and know the tax withholding and workers' comp. rules, and have public liability insurance.
