Legal Question in Business Law in California
I am being evicted from a commercial property because of slander. I havent even opened yet and have been there for less than a month. She has 900 for rent and six for a deposit. What can I do?

I assume you have a lease and that it states what basis there is to evict you or consider the lease breached. There also would be some provision as to what are the charges if the lease if breached. Your rights will be mainly by the lease and without seeing it I can not really guess at what your rights are.

I've never heard of someone being evicted for slander. You need to speak to an attorney, and see if there is a viable defense to the eviction. I suggest that you don't create drama and send the attorney off on a wild goose chase.
