Legal Question in Business Law in California
I already have an existing S Corp with two dba names, which are scheduled for renewal in 2013. Can I add another dba to the S Corp without having to re-register all the existing dba's again? If I file a dba form with one new dba, does it override all other pre-existing dba's? or do I have to re-register all the dba's again?
I'm curious because it is an additional fee to register each dba, and if i already have the registrations in place for my existing dba's, I wouldn't want to repay since they have already been paid-up to 2013. Thanks for your help.

Registering a new DBA does not wipe out the older DBA's. You have to register and renew each one prior to the five year expiration date. You don't have to reregister the existing ones.
