Re: Financial Disclosure for Non-Profit Organizations

It depends on what type of non-profit organization is involved. You can obtain all of the information you need on-line from the California Franchise Tax Board, the California Attorney General's Office, and the Internal Revenue Service. However, you would be well advised to seek competent legal representation because this area of the law is very specialized and complex. Spending a few dollars now may save you thousands in the future.

See http://caag.state.ca.us/charities/index.htm & http://www.irs.gov/charities/article/0,,id=96430,00.html -- this may help you.

If not, then you probably need the assistance of a non-profit corporations / tax exempt organizations attorney to assist with your inquiries.
