Legal Question in Business Law in California
French company/US independent worker's contract with US company
Hi there,
I am a French national owning a company in France. I now reside in California and work as an independent contractor, still operating my company in France. Company ''XXX France'' which is the subsidiary of ''XXX Inc.'' has been a long time client of my French company. ''XXX inc.'' is now a client too in the US, and wants me to sign a contract. The contract refers to ''XXX Inc.''. Does it also cover my business relationship with ''XXX France''?
Thank you for your answer.

I'm afraid you have not furnished enough information for one to give you an intelligent answer. Such as, what interest do you have in keeping your French company out of the business of your American company. What is that you both do? Why is your customer involving the French company? etc.
