Legal Question in Business Law in California
My friend owns a plumbing business that is recently incorporated . He runs his business in one county. I will be running my own branch in a different county under his plumbing license. The idea is basically I run my own business start to finish and pay him a monthly fee for operating under his license . Under the fictitious business name statement would it be under a corporation?
Thank you,
Jim

You can't use someone else's contracting license. You can work for a licensed contractor as an employee, but you can't run around and do stuff on your own with their contracting license.
