Legal Question in Business Law in California

Not giving refunds

company I work for does not refund customers money or give future credit for returns or overpayments. Customers overpay all the time, return product, report damages, company keeps overpayments. In two years they have collected approximately $ 100,000 in money that does not belong to them. As a worker who was instructed not to issue refunds and reverse the credits on our books, I believe customers that are owed money and credits should be given refunds. All are legit credits owed. What can be done to insure that these people get their money back?

Re: Not giving refunds

There are laws in place to protect the consumer and possible whistle blower laws there to protect you as you will likely have great difficulty at work if you report illegal activity despite fact retaliation is prohibited by law. Call to discuss. 800-685-6950
