Legal Question in Business Law in California
Good morning I recently had my car towed I'm a member of AAA and there was some confusion between AAA and the tow company when I originally got into the tow truck they said it would be 7 miles free and the rest I'd have to pay for which came to about $80 so we get to my house handed the tow truck driver my AAA card and identification / drivers license. He noticed I was a premier member the driver procedes call and find out why the tow was not free. He gets off the phone and says have a good night you don't know anything. 5 mins later I go outside and now I owe $204.00 but pay $200.00 and that will be fine. He took my drivers license and debit card and is refusing to return it if I don't pay. Is this legal?

No that is not legal. Demand that he immediately return your license and debit card or you will contact the police and report it stolen. Or just call the police and report it. You should also call AAA and the owner of the towing company.
