Legal Question in Business Law in California
Hello,
I am a fashion blogger and recently someone pretended to be me by saying they owned my instagram account and messaged companies using their own email asking if they can receive some clothing items to do a review. Can I sue them and get them in jail for doing this? Thank you.

First, notify the companies that the person is not you. Second, notify instagram. If you know who the person is, you can contact the police and report it. I am not sure they will do anything, but no harm in trying. You may be able to get a restraining order against the person. Contact an attorney in your area.
