Legal Question in Business Law in California
Inaccurate Payment Plan
I owe $1800 in past due home maintenance fees and when the collection company drew up the payment plan, the included this plus maintenance dues for the next five years. What bothered me about this is it made it look like the i am past due on the whole amount of $5,000 as this was the starting point for the principal balance. I asked to break it out so it was a bit clearer and they refused stating that this was their form, etc etc.
I believe i can get them on mail fraud.
Do i have a case?

Gee, I don't think so.....where are you getting your definition of "mail fraud?" Sounds like an ordinary disagreement over the wording of a proposed, consensual business agreement.
